    The Problem of Overdose

In the article, “The Opioid Crisis,” by Patricia Smith I have learned that there have been many deaths from overdosing. In a 12 month period there have been over 100,000 people who have died from overdosing. These numbers have...

    Staying Safe during Halloween

In the article, “COVID Trick-or-Treating Safely” I learned that trick-or-treating is pretty much safe now because there are more people getting vaccinated. Although there are still many children under the age of 12 that have not got vaccinated, Dr....

    • Dear Adrian,
I am very impressed by your “Staying Safe during Halloween,” because its very tricky asking for candy in these times. Never know who has the vaccine nor who feels healthy, I’m saying this because I’ve heard stories that someone was sick with Covid and still went out like it does not make any sense leaving your home. I think it’s very impressive if you were to be going out to still follow the COvid protocols to keep the surrounding safe. Like this should’ve been a must.
One sentence that stands out from the rest of your post was, “Another way that you can stay safe is by arranging the candy rather than having the children dig into a bowl.” This could be very helpful in keeping everyone safe because all you have to do is drop the goodies in their basket/bag. It will definitely decrease the chances of a kid picking at the bowl and leaving their germs there ready for the next person to be attached to.

Thank you for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next, because there are many upcoming events that a lot of people like to gather but probably won’t follow these protocols. I also like learning about how people go about doing things differently in this pandemic we are going through.  I would like you to continue telling about your thoughts in upcoming Covid-events.

    • Dear ADRAIN :

I am captivated by your post, “Staying Safe during Halloween” because safety is very important to me, and to many others as well. COVID-19 is still an ongoing issue, meaning that there are still some precautions that must be taken. The vaccination rate is fairly high, but there are still some people & children under the age of 12 that have not to be vaccinated; we must keep these people in mind. A precaution may be to host or attend events held outside with only a small number of people; doing so will reduce the risk of spreading the virus.

One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is: “we will be able to keep going to future events.” I think this is thoughtful because not many people feel or think this way. They do not realize that the bigger picture is full of better things. We need to stop being ignorant, if we feel sick, stay home, or if you know someone who is sick and will be attending the same event as you, stay away from that event.

Thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next because your writings are interesting and you seem to care about the topic. You also provide us, the readers, with a high-quality post.
