      I enjoyed your poem. However, swimming sucks more. It’s basically just organized competitive drowning. 10/10 would agree with me and not you.

    My school used to have a Chief as it’s mascot, and while I understand that it can be offensive, I think that ik some cases it can actually be paying respect to the history if the area.     Your post is very relevant, and I agree that women are not treated equally and need to stand up for themselves. I don’t have much experience with women putting each other down instead of up, but I do know that it happens and I agree that they should work together and not against each other. Thank you for sharing

    I really enjoyed your work with this poem, and I really like the idea of writing from the perspective of a leaf. You did a great job following the rhyme patterns of Coatsworth’s poem and did great work with the imagery and language to make this piece really seem like a conversation. Great job!

    I think Baldwin makes a very strong argument, and you seem to have put a lot of thought into the topic as well. In today’s society, this is especially relevant, as blacks are still feeling the effects of this racism and trying to overcome it. Thank you for sharing your analysis of Baldwin’s work.
