My name is Eylin and I am a very happy person. I am a little patient, and I am also a little shy when I meet new people. I like to share. I like to be with my family, go out for walks, and discover new things. I really like adrenaline so I love to ride roller coasters. Almost every weekend I go to the beach and look at the sunsets. Sometimes I prefer to be alone. Something ugly about me is that when I’m in a bad mood, I take it out on most of the people who are with me. I have mood swings, and sometimes I get annoyed by what I say or do, it’s really strange.
In my culture, we always like to celebrate the important dates in Colombia history. Also, one of the customs is to respect; for example, during Holy Week, we do not eat chicken or meat and do things that have to do with Holy Week. I was born in Bogotá, a city in Guacamayas, Colombia. I went to Juan Evangelista Gomez school.
When we came to the United States, I was able to see my dad again Sometimes we get away from they things we love the most, but at some point, we meet those people again My strengths are that I like to help people when they need it and I can’t help myself , I like to draw and I can teach my little brother
I want to learn English.
My family is my mom, me, and my brother. They are here in New York with me. They are very good. My mom likes to help me with everything I need, my dad is in Florida with my three stepbrothers and his wife; they are my family. I lost my little dog, Mailon , he was one of the best. He was so pretty and sensible, I’m far from my family, my aunts, uncles, grandmother, and cousins. I miss my cousin a lot, his name is Danel, he’s like my sister, we always shared and we were together most days.
I am lucky to have my parents and my brother in my life who are the most important thing to me, they have always tried to be with me and give me everything I wanted.

I am inspired by your presentation “ Meet Eylin” because it must have been hard being away from your dad. I think it’s nice that your family is all reunited again. I hope you get to see the rest of your family soon. One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is: “I want to learn English” I think this is important because I felt the same way not too long ago. I believe that your goals are important and you will meet them. Thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next because I want to know what inspired you to draw. I would also want to know how you are able to go to the beach so often.
