This article tells readers that the company Insight has found out a little more information on Mars’ core and it’s not what they expected. The company used the seismic energy vibrating throughout the planet, measured by a seismometer, to find out what was beneath the planet. They found a layer of molten rock and also revealed some facts about how old the planet is and how it formed. The scientists found out that the core was not what they predicted, it was bigger. Mars’s core is 1,830 km, which is smaller than Earth’s core, but Mars’s core makes up more of it. This article was fascinating and I found it very informative because this could lead to more information on Mars and with time comes improvement. But I do think that this research is very interesting because I didn’t know Mars had a similar core to Earth, and I know they have their similarities but they’re definitely more similar than I thought. With Mars being so similar to Earth, with our knowledge of how similar they are, it could lead to more improvement for both Earth and Mars which usually is a good thing
