In the article, “Life Without DACA ” (Upfront, Jordan, 2022) I learned that 80% percent of people who have DACA have jobs and as of right now about 800,000 people are enrolled. The program DACA is an administrative relief that protects eligible immigrants who came to the United States when they were children from deportation. For many, the DACA program had made many of their life easy that is going to college and having a successful life they sacrifice for. As of right now, the DACA program is rumored to be closed due to many Republicans not agreeing with what the program does.
I think what is happening is unreasonable. Many of the people that came to the United States and sacrificed a lot are now going to be needing to worry about being deported. DACA should be allowed for everyone. It gives them everything for them to be able to change their whole life. Many Mexican Americans are lucky to have been born here and not have to go through those hard obstacles so many of us need to start being thankful.
