Gun control has become a big issue in our country. The United States has the largest amount of guns per capita in the world. Firearms are classified in three different categories: handguns, shotguns, and rifles. This number is a result of the Second Amendment, which states you have the right to bear arms.
This has been a controversy since owning a gun has lead to problems within our country. Some Americans believe that the gun law should be more strict, for example the strictness on who can buy a gun and what type of weapon you are allowed to own. The rest of America thinks that we have the right to own a gun for safety and for recreation. Aside from the Americans view on guns it is still a problem today. People have started to use guns for violence, which leads to the harm or death of innocent people.
There are many pros and cons to gun control , but hopefully the country can formulate a plan that meets in the middle and balances out this problem we have in our country.
