Milton, thank you for writing this piece entitled “I stand with Angela”. I have never heard of Angela Davis before, but now I know that she is an underappreciated Civil Rights Activist. I don’t hear a lot about activists relating poverty to criminal activity, but this concept is important to me because I think it is important to understand how circumstance has an effect on outcome. One way that you could improve on your writing is that you could increase the variety of vocabulary you have used. However, keep up the good work and I look forward to reading more from you. I enjoyed reading your “I Stand With Angela” article, it helped me understand way more about Angela Davis and how much of a great person she is. I also agree with your claim about how Angela Davis should get the award she was nominated for.

Dear Milton,
I am moved by your “I Stand With Angela,” because it gave me a clearer understanding of who Angela davis is and what she did for the black population. One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is: “Angela Davis deserves the award because of the hard work and dedication she has put into her race and culture. As an activist, scholar and educated black women, Angela Davis wanted and still wants equality. ” I think this is wonderful because this made me aware of her role in our society and how dedicated she is. Thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next.
