selective focus photography of person using smartphone

Young people are mostly the ones who are more into smartphones and technology. It is not completely true that smartphones are a bad thing, they have many advantages which help people in life making a lot of things easier. You are able to meet new people from around the world and it makes it easier to talk to your friends even if they are far from you, you can still get a hold of them. Smartphones might be something that helps us way more than anything but leaving us with less knowledge about the world and the different things that we can learn about.Depending on how we use smartphones is the way that will have an effect on us. It could make us smarter or not. Years before smartphones or before we knew a lot about technology everyone knew more than now about how to manage things in life or simple things that we have no idea how to do at the moment because we found technology that helps to make things easier.

Things like this make a big impact on what we are used to with technology. Thinking about it before technology things were considered easier even though it took more time to do things. Taking this into consideration in the past where there were no smartphone kids had a better childhood, they would not worry about the likes they get in their pictures. In the past enjoying the moment was the most important, it did not matter if you did not have a phone with a picture about the moment but you had the opportunity of enjoying and making the moment memorable with no need for a photo. Smartphones have not only impacted us in a negative way but also they helped in the process of contacting family who maybe moved away or that live far and keeping the moment in pictures. So considering this each person has the opportunity to decide whether smartphones will affect them or not and also the way they use the technology to their advantage.

Dear Fatima,
I found your post “Is a smartphone affecting us?” interesting and found that you made some really good points. I agree that because the smartphone has made many aspects of life easier we no longer know how to manage certain things in our day to day lives. I think that because most young people are addicted to their phones myself included we forget to appreciate the little things in life and the things that are right in front of us. We don’t realise that there is more to life than what’s on our phone screen or what we post on social media.
I also agree with you that children had a better childhood before smartphones and technology took over. Children would play outside with friends and use their imagination. Nowadays children would rather stay inside and play on their consoles, tablets, or their phones. They will never get to experience staying out until dark running around with their friends enjoying the fresh air and letting their imaginations run wild.

Dear Fatima,
I was very intrigued by your post “Is a smartphone affecting us” because this is a topic young people try to avoid including myself. Many older people believe phones are affecting the younger generation because of how society is now. Although, phones may be a great source and help us if we’re lost or just in need of a friend to talk to it takes up lots of our time. It also changed us in a really bad way it can sometimes lead to cyberbullying or even insecurities because of the standards needing to be met. In my opinion, smartphones has affected us in good and bad ways.
Hope to hear more about your future posts- Litzy

Dear Fatima:
I am interested in your post, “Is the smartphone affecting us ,” because I really want to know if smartphones are changing how we think and how we do things. One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is: “ Things like this make a big impact on what we are used to with technology. Thinking about it before technology things were considered easier even though it took more time to do things.” I think this is important because before smartphones , people would focus more on doing things for they life , but now smartphones are taking that away. Another sentence that Iiked was: “Young people are mostly the ones who are more into smartphones and technology.” This stood out for me because younger kids are using social media which can be a bad thing because a lot of people do bullying online so that affects younger kids.
I do agree with you that young kids are the most who use smartphones, One reason I say this is because most of the young people in my family has a smartphone ,Another reason I agree with you is that things were easier before smartphones
Thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next, because… you write about things that is happening right now , and things that are facts
