  1. Should we be going to school?
  • It’s important to consider the pros and cons of online learning when addressing this issue .
  • We need to consider more than just the risk of getting the virus.
  • social, mental, and behavioral health are likely to be affected with continued online learning
  • Students may not be getting the same quality of education from home
  • Many children don’t have the resources to continue proper online learning
  • Data from other countries with schools that have reopened have been reassuring to US scientists 
    • In areas where infection rates are increasing, schools shouldn’t open
    • Schools should prioritize students who will benefit most from in-person learning 
    • Allowing parents and students to choose between in person and distanced learning is also important
