In the article, “Digging Up A Painful Past,” the Tulsa Race Massacre was a massacre that left a great amount of trauma and a great amount of ignorance. The Ku Klux Klan initiated this massacre with the national guard by their side. It left many for dead and the future generations ignorant to a tragedy that they don’t even know occurred. The search for those lives lost is in motion while slowly recovering some lost souls.
It is saddening that this truly tragic event was nowhere to be taught or heard from as it vanished from this society. None of the future generations, even some who may be ancestrally related had no knowledge of this occurrence because no one spoke about it. It is extremely important that this tragedy is talked about and taught to future generations to prevent a racial injustice from occurring again. There is no need for history to repeat itself and people to feel the grief that was once felt in the Tulsa Race Massacre.
What part do you have to voice about such tragedy and preventions from others”?
