In the article, “Hawaii May Lift Restrictions Soon” I learned that many states are not being so heavy on restrictions. A lot of the mask mandates are being released in other states except for Hawaii. They have the strictest travel restrictions but they may be restricting them by spring. Some of the rules are that travelers going to Hawaii from another state have to have a mandatory five-day self-quarantine unless they have a negative COVID test. A Lot of this is because Hawaii’s economy is very dependent on tourism.
I think this is very smart for Hawaii because it is always better to be safe than sorry. COVID really hurt their economy and I wonder how they will bounce back from this.
