In the article “Gun Violence” I learned that gun violence doesn’t just have a physical impact on a community but also a mental impact. This problem is so huge that 250,000 people were killed in the month of June 2019. Low-income and urban communities have it worse since people have easier access to gun violence. This caused parents and kids to feel unsafe going to school, and hard for schools to keep their employees. This holds back the community and keeps the community low-income and keeps going on for generations making the problem of gun violence worse and worse. This article gives many tips on how to stop gun violence such as a comprehensive background check to identify any risk.
My thoughts on this problem are that it concerns how guns affect not just and individual but the whole community. It’s fun and unfair how other people in the community have to fear for their safety just by going to school.
As I continue to learn about Gun Violence, I want to know more about what the people who want to have a gun think about making a law that prohibits the use or obtaining of a firearm.
