black leather case on brown and black woven surface

In this text the central idea is that gun violence is all over the world and anyone can be affected by it. In support of their central idea, the author writes that Gun violence is something that threatens our right to life everyday. This supports the central idea because it happens everyday and all over the world. The author also writes that not even innocent kids who are in school are safe from all this mess. This supports their central idea because it shows that anyone and everyone can be affected by gun violence. A final piece of evidence that supports their central idea is when the author writes that up to 71 percent of all homicides globally are done using a firearm . This supports the central idea because it shows how big of a problem gun violence is nowadays, not just in our country but all over the world.

My thoughts about this are that gun violence is a big problem and it seems to only be getting worse over time. NO ONE is safe from it. It is almost impossible to be safe from gun violence because even in stores and other places there are mass shootings. This helps me answer one of my research questions because it shows how big of a problem gun violence has become in today’s world.

Some questions I still have are what is the government doing to prevent all this besides trying to take away all the guns from everyone?
