In the article I have read, “Gun Control, Explained” by Max Fisher I learned ways that people have been handling the topic of gun control such as rules being put into effect and how effective they are. Ways that they are controlling the gun problem would be getting the illegal guns off the streets. Ways that they do this is gun buybacks. This is a process in which people exchange their guns that are either illegal or just don’t want no more to a police station and in return they receive some kind of payment like gift cards or even cash.
I think that the way they are handling all of the gun control should have a little more to it. Things that they are currently doing doesn’t really seem like it is too effective. They need to be able to find ways to get more illegal guns of streets that are not being turned in. They need to make it a little more strict to be able to obtain a gun, it would make the works a safer place.
As I continue to learn about gun control I want to know what the other side of this argument thinks. How are they able to defend themselves.
