The Honorable President of the United States
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
Washington, D.C.

<Date>

Dear Next President,

<Share a little bit about who you are, why you’re writing the next president, and what you hope for our country over the next four years.>

<Explain your hopes and why they matter so much to you.>

Recently I watched the <first presidential/second presidential/third presidential/vice presidential debate> and I when I heard the question: “<Quote a question from the moderator>,” I started paying more attention because… <Explain why this issue is important to you.>

<Describe what each of the candidates said in answering this question, transcribing their words from the video, and say what you think of each of their positions.>

Another point in the debate that I think was important was when… <Describe a second point in the debate, quoting the candidates, and showing your opinions.>

Overall, the debate showed me that Hillary Clinton <Describe what you learned about this candidate from the debate about the issues that are important to you> and Donald Trump <Say what you learned about this candidate about the issues that matter to you.>

<Tell our next president what you look for in a leader and how they can live up to what you think a president should be.>

Thank you for serving our country!

Sincerely,
<You!>
