My thoughts on this viewing was, It was hard to see all the things that african american people go through. There are several ways to disrupt the tactics of power that perpetuate inequality and injustice. Some of these include Education and Awareness, Education and awareness are crucial in disrupting the tactics of power. Another is Grassroots Activism Grassroots activism involves individuals and communities working together to effect change. Another one is Political Engagement. Engaging in politics and working to change laws and policies can be an effective way to disrupt the tactics of power. Another one is Intersectionality. Intersectionality involves recognizing and addressing the ways in which different forms of oppression intersect and compound each other. There are many ways that these miscegenation in the U.S, Miscegenation, or the mixing of different racial groups, has a complex and often contentious history in the United States. The legacy of miscegenation is still felt in a number of ways in contemporary American society, Women to this day resist domination of their bodies. Throughout history, women have used various methods to resist the domination of their bodies. Some of these ways include: Legal and Political Activism, Artistic Expression, Education and Awareness and Self-Care and Wellness. Fear has been used as a weapon against Black men and their perceived masculinity, as well as against those who challenge traditional gender roles and expectations. Historically, Black men in America have been portrayed as dangerous and hypersexualized, with their bodies being seen as a threat to white society. This has led to the weaponization of fear against Black men, where they are often perceived as criminals or potential criminals, and are subject to racial profiling and discrimination in many aspects of life. This fear has been used to justify violence against Black men, including police brutality and lynchings. Words that stand out to me equality because that’s something that men and women fight for in society especially. emotional reactions I have is sad and shocked to see the things that people of color go through in society. In this viewing the authors and speakers use form and language to communicate a point of view by showing examples of how these miscegenation takes place in society past and present.
