Made in Singapore

The singing bowl chimes, resting elegantly on the smooth mahogany shelf.

Product of India

The spice jar preens, tucked amongst a wide variety of oddly shaped containers.

This shop is full of exotic items

Imports from the farthest reaches of the world.

Stored in but a large, concealed hole in the wall.

The items found here are not only commodities of the world

But traveling culture.

The bundle of incense, a mobile spirituality.

The dainty band of beads, a third world mother’s livelihood.

A round Buddha rests on a pedestal positioned by the entrance

Graciously collecting offerings in the small dish at his feet.

A teacher to all sides of the world.

Coins brimming from dishes both here and there.
