In the article “Stay Alive” I learned that it is super important to not text and drive. Technology is a huge part of our everyday lives and many people are always on their phones but it is important to put your phone down when driving. If you are on your phone while driving you are not only putting your own life at risk but other people’s lives as well. You can possibly end up in an accident that could have been preventable. Texting and driving are extremely dangerous. Don’t put yourself nor anyone in that situation. No matter what the case might be a phone call, a message, an email any of that can wait till you are done driving. If you simply can’t wait then pull over to take care of business but don’t text and drive in general don’t be on your phone while driving.
Do you text and drive? If you do or know anyone who does, please remind them to not do it, because it is not safe.I think texting and driving is something that should be taken seriously. It is extremely dangerous. You’re at risk of ending someone’s life including your own. No one ever wants to be put in that position of receiving a call saying a loved one has passed due to a car accident because of texting and driving. There have been many deeply sad incidents that have occurred because of this we must learn from other experiences and be wise to not text and drive for our own safety and others. Simply don’t let technology control you that you desperately need to be on your phone 24/7 it’s not safe at all. Be mindful of those around you.
Dear Fatima,
I acknowledge your post, “Don’t text and Drive,” I feel like this is one of the reasons people don’t feel safe on the road. I feel like people should think about the consequences before picking up their phones. Not a lot of people see the risk factor but they should really consider it.
One sentence you wrote that stands out to me is,” Don’t put yourself nor anyone in that situation. No matter what the case might be a phone call, a message, an email any of that can wait till you are done driving.” I think this is one of the points people should really consider when they are driving. This will help prevent lots of death while on the road.
Thank you for writing, I look forward to seeing what you write next, because I like how straight-foward and informative your writing is.

Dear Fatima,
I totally agree with your post about not texting and driving. I think that texting and driving is a huge problem and I see it all the time, and I even text and drive sometimes. In your post you talk about how you put other people lives in danger and I think more poeple need to think about this when they are texting while driving. I like how you make the essay a little personal and I think that is makes your wrtiting that much better and makes the reader really think about thier actions. Like while I was reading this is made me think about the times I was texting and driving and how I could have caused a whreck and possible ruined someones life and affected thier whole family. I also think that you should look for some facts like how many people that text and drive cause crashes or something like that. Overall very good post, keep up the good work.
Dear Fatima,
I agree about your post “Don’t Text And Drive” because it shows how important it is not to text and driving. I could agree that technology is a big part of our life and will get distracted easily with them. The people’s would be using them everywhere or any time that they would forget their surroundings and could lead them into danger.
One or two sentence that you wrote about it is that it stands out for me is “You’re at risk of ending someone’s life including your own.” I think it’s risky because people lives are risk when people’s are driving and are being on their phone while driving is the one that could lead them into serious condition when they are driving.
Thanks for your writing. I looking forward to seeing what you write because I like that your telling people that technology can be an easy distraction and that it can put at people life at risk they don’t focus on their surrounding. I would like you to continue telling others things that can put people’s lives at risk at something they get distracted on.

Dear Fatima I strongly agree with your post, ¨Don´t Text And Drive¨ because text and driving is a very dangerous act when driving. Text and driving is not only putting yourself in danger but the other drivers in your surrounding. I think this topic is very scary but should be taken very seriously due to a lot of accidents are called in for ¨Texting and driving¨.
One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is, ¨If you simply can’t wait then pull over to take care of business but don’t text and drive in general don’t be on your phone while driving.¨ I think this is crucial, a very great idea because now it doesn’t put you nor the drivers around at risk. If it’s something important then simply pull aside and handle your business. Or just wait until you arrive at your destination.
Thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next, because I liked that you’re putting this out for the people and raising awareness that texting and driving is not good at all. I look forward to hearing other dangerous acts that should be said so that people could see this and take something from it. Lastly, hearing more dangerous things that come with technology and how it affects us.

I really like this post because it raises awareness of the little things in life that can cause horrible consequences. I think a lot of people think it is not a big deal until something bad happens to them. For instance, me and my friend was traveling around the great salt lake and he was texting during driving. Then he drove off the road and went into the Great salt lake. We were stuck in Saline-alkali land for three hours until police found us and called a toe truck to save us. All of us should pay attention to the little things in our lives to avoid potential risks.
This article brings up many good points. This warning is one that many teens ignore, and it is why many people get into car accidents. Although technology is a big part of our daily lives, we must set times where we stay away from it to focus on more important tasks. This post is written well and is very informative
I love the awareness you’re bringing to this serious topic. Most high school students text and drive quite often, constantly putting other’s lives at risk. I know a lot of people who text and drive and when they do, they swerve in and out of lanes posing as a threat to other drivers. Do you personally know someone who texts and drives?
I second everything said in this post. Honestly, it’s embarrassing. I don’t text and drive but I will scroll my phone searching for a proper playlist. This just reinstalled the severity of not being distracted behind the wheel. Thankyou.
I like that you are bringing awareness to this fact. I feel like people take for granted the times that others say to not text and drive, as it is almost routine to hear. An accident due to texting and driving is one of the easiest things to avoid when it comes to driving. People are addicted to their phones, and it shows how many people are hurt in these accidents. It is something that can and should stop. Thank you for writing about this important topic. People need to continue to be reminded of it for sure.
Dear Oliva
I am glad to hear that you agree that people should not text and drive because they put their lives at risk including if they have passengers with them. As well as the people on the road. It’s something scary accidents are no joke and often are caused by people texting and driving. Which is super important for people to stop texting and driving. So I’m happy to know you agree.
I like your post. It’s valuable warming for us to not texting while driving. I believe there are a lot of car accidents that happened nowadays are caused by texting or calling while drive. It’s hard for anyone to focus on a task with distraction. Driving needs to be highly focused. It’s dangerous if you are distracted by your phone while driving. When you are trying to reach the ringing phone or look at the notification on the screen, you could run through a red light and crash with another car. I am also interested in the mechanism behind it, which is how the different parts of the brain are responsible for your action and to explain why we shouldn’t text while driving. Your statement is good, but more statistics of the rate of accidents caused by texting overall accidents would make it more compelling. https://www.edgarsnyder.com/car-accident/cause-of-accident/cell-phone/cell-phone-statistics.html#:~:text=General%20Cell%20Phone%20Statistics,caused%20by%20texting%20and%20driving.
Hello Fatima,
I completely agree with you on this! Whenever I am driving with a friend and they are on their phone while driving, my anxiety makes it very hard for me to do anything other than worry. I do think that distracted driving is goint to become a more prevalent issue because of the increased accessability younger generations have towards phones. I strongly believe that while the person who is driving might not have much regard for their own life, I as a passenger do, so if you ever feel uncomfortable with someone, you should tell them!
Touching base on such an important issue in today’s society is very beneficial, especially to a primary audience of teenagers. While you are writing your next article, consider using fewer periods, and combining sentences to make the flow of your conversation easier. Otherwise, this was a great essay, and I would love to read more. Good job!
I agree that texting and driving is super dangerous. One thing you said that really sticks out to me is “If you are on your phone while driving you are not only putting your own life at risk but other people’s lives as well.” That statement is very true, and just shows how risky it is. If you are texting and driving, there is a chance that you could walk away from an accident you caused perfectly fine but someone else might die. No Snapchat, text, etc, will ever be worth the life of another person. I really liked how you worded this, and you didn’t beat around the bush. It is a super important message, and I am glad you’re bringing it to people’s attention.
I agree that texting while driving is a huge issue in our world. I’ve seen many people on the road at the same time as me texting while they’re driving and it’s scary because it’s unsafe. As you said, it’s easy to put your phone away and protect both yourself and others from unnecessary harm. Thanks for your writing, I look forward to reading more from you in the future.
Texting while driving is a very big issue in this nation. I normally see at least one person swerving a little on the freeway because their eyes are on the phone instead of the road. I have to drive far from my house to school, so I know the temptation, but I always avoid it. I emphasize not texting while driving to my friends as well. Very well written post.
