In the article, “I am already having a different life because of education” (Upfront) I learned that in Bangladesh there are many people who don’t have access to education, especially women. When it came to the education of women they figured there was no need because women didn’t get jobs. This horrible situation made it hard for those who wanted an education, men or women that wanted a job or better paying job.but now in time things are changing and many women and men are being enrolled into school and waiting and taking their time on marriage and kids. A great example of this is 24 year old Rashed Ali. He has a better life due to him pursuing an education. “ I feel proud of what my father does, but it’s a repetition of the same work, which yields very low wages,” Ali says. “Now, I am already having a different life because of education. My parents hardly went out of the village, and their world is limited to that, whereas I am growing as a global citizen.”
This shows that with them being enrolled into school they are starting off on a better foot than their parents
What do you think people should do to improve the environment in Bangladesh?I think what is happening in bangladesh is very inspiring to look at to see that it is significantly changing in a positive way. Many lives are changing just from the want of an education.
