Right now, children under twelve are able to get the COVID vaccine. It was the recommendation for the age that a child could get. But that change on October 26, 2021, when the Center for Disease Control and Prevention when they announce that they are now recommending children in the age of 11 and below to 5. The vaccine that the children are receiving is a lower-dose version of the same vaccine that adults get. Now, about 18 million children are eligible to get the vaccine, and having more children get the shot is by the federal government has enough vaccines to make them available to every child in the U.S.
I think that it is a great thing to do and will benefit not just children, but adults as well. It is because COVID is still a thing and that people are still getting them today. Getting vaccinated will make the numbers go down and especially now vaccinating children in the age of 5 to 12 now. With more people are getting vaccinated, people are going to feel more safe getting vaccines even with younger children are now eligible to get it.
Is giving vaccines to children between the age of 5 to 11 make it safer for themselves and the people around them?
