In the article, “Coral Reefs Show Damage For Climate Change” (McGraw Hill), I learned more about how coral reefs are currently in great danger due to climate change. Coral reefs are important for multiple reasons such as supporting one-fourth of all fish species, protecting against storms and creating a shield for coastlines. Although, from 2008-2019 scientists conducted various studies that resulted in them discovering that the world had lost 14% of its total amount of coral reefs.
In my opinion, I strongly believe that the government needs to get involved and make a change. They can do so by creating global climate change programs that can result in bettering or slowing down the effects of climate change. For instance, they can encourage people to convert to clean energy instead.
How do you believe this situation can be better?
