One fascinating idea that I have always loved looking at is how people dream. Dreams are something we all have in common; babies, animals, men and woman-we all dream. In fact, researchers have found that people usually have several dreams each night, each one lasting for between five to 20 minutes. During a typical lifetime, people spend an average of six years dreaming!

One website talks about lucid as during the dream which the dreamer is aware of dreaming. During lucid dreaming, the dreamer may be able to exert some degree of control over the dream characters, narrative, and environment. Personally, I find this idea about controlling our dream to be fascinating. One website also talked about if we were able to have more lucid dreams we would be able to study for a test, prepare ourselves for an event, or a big business meeting. I found that lucid dreaming is something we should cultivate to having more of, the idea that we can prepare ourselves for when we wake up fascinating.

I have been waiting to see a post involving dreaming and how we can control them like this Anthony. Dreaming has always fascinated me and the concept that we still don’t know why we dream is mind-boggling. I have always seen in cartoons and some books that the character controls the dream and makes it their own. This has always been the coolest thing to me, and I’ve always wanted to be able to do it. I have also seen some articles on how to control our dreams which I have tried with no luck. Someday maybe we will all be able to control our dreams and as you said, this will help us in our daily activities.

This is a very interesting subject. I liked how you said “if we were able to have more lucid dreams we would be able to study for a test, prepare ourselves for an event, or a big business meeting.” It makes your argument more personal. Also, I found a source that you could look into about how common lucid dreaming is and what studies have been conducted ( I look forward to reading more of your writing because it is interesting to see this new perspective.

I have heard of lucid dreaming but I’ve never realized that it could possibly help and prepare us for the next day. That’s such an interesting concept that maybe we can meditate, study for a test, or plan an event all while we are asleep. Like your post, this article talks about the benefits of lucid dreaming and you might find it interesting. I look forward to hearing more.
