Feel alive with me

This is a pier near where I live. In Bay Ridge, where I moved not long ago. This place is amazing. It’s near the water where you can get fresh air and relax. To me, it is a place of wonders; a place where you can see into the distance and see the beauty in this world; a place where your worries can disappear in an instant but at the same time you can feel a guide; a place where you can see you still have a long way to go and feel the future going further. You sit and watch the sunset and its beautiful colors where you get mesmerized into space.

The Green-way and pier in the east river is used in many ways: for example, fishing, exercise, spending time with family, etc. It can  be used in many ways, especially to explore. The fresh environment  strengthens my community by serving/opening this place so people can come and enjoy what there is to see and do.

Escape with me

The highway runs over the tunnel that goes both ways front and back.  The park seems like you are in a forest, it’s green, and it’s beautiful while nature surrounds it. Not many people come here, giving it serial killer vibes/ danger. This part of the community provides others with space and lets cars drive through the highway. At points you can hear footsteps and barking. It serves people in this community  who make use of a place like this. The highway rushes past us, but the green trees and the beauty of nature surround us as well, making it so that we hardly notice the cars.

When once upon of time you were small

My name is  Owls Head Park. I have beautiful flowers and grass. I have a playground that provides games where children can come and enjoy, a separate place where you can get wet and a separate place to play sports and even some of the things you can find at the  gym.

My home provides  a lot of the community to people who come  to the park. Not only for the kids that come here but also for their families. It’s a big space in which people can have parties, picnics and barbecues.  Also at the entrance there is a little box where when your pet does his needs, you can pick it up; we don’t want my place to stink. The maintenance in this place is great and a lot of kids are very happy with this result, especially when they go to the playground. This place reminds  humans of when they were little, when they  loved going to the park and enjoyed it more than anything. But now it seems they forgot about us and our home. They’ve grown so much that they don’t come anymore.

Dear Jennifer

I am interested in your introduction because you really explain everything and it’s a 10/10
One thing i learned from your writing that stood out fro me is “To me, it is a place of wonders; a place where you can see into the distance and see the beauty in this world; a place where your worries can disappear in an instant but at the same time you can feel a guide; a place where you can see you still have a long way to go and feel the future going further.”i think that this is a calm place to be while your in a bad mood.
Your writing connects to my own experience because I go to the pier too. It’s a wonderful place to go to when you have nothing to do.
Thanks for your work on youth voices, I look forward to seeing what you write next because I really liked your post where you explain everything about your story.

I’m excited about your writing about your neighborhood because I’ve been in Bay Ridge a couple times but I’ve never lived there and I want to see what your experiences are in Bay Ridge.
One thing I learned from your community that stood out for me is: “ To me, it is a place of wonders; a place where you can see into the distance and see the beauty in this world; a place where your worries can disappear in an instant but at the same time you can feel a guide; a place where you can see you still have a long way to go and feel the future going further” I think this is interesting because I have experienced something similar to that and I believe that’s true I have my own place where I go and just stare into the distance and I just forget about things and problems I have in my mind.
Your writing connects to my own experience. For me Sunset park is a place where I can go to connect with my cousins and family, sometimes I go just to see the sunset and just admire how beautiful it looks.
Thanks for your work on Youth Voices. I look forward to seeing what you write next because I’m interested in what you have to write and hear about the things you have seen and experienced.
