In the article ” Coral Reefs Show Damage From Climate Change.” I learned that coral reefs are important because they support about one fourth of all fish species on Earth. They also help protect coastlines and storms. It is sad to say that many coral reefs are dying at an alarming rate. The article stated how the world lost about 14 percent of its total amount of coral between 2008 and 2019. Scientist have said that the cause of all this is because ocean temperatures are becoming warmer. Other elements that cause damage to coral reefs include overfishing, increasing Carbon Dioxide levels in the water, and declining water quality. Scientist are currently studying how to breed coral reefs into adapting in warmer water temperatures.

I was surprised to learn that coral reefs are dying because of warmer water temperatures. I feel bad for fish who are suffering because of dying reefs. I’ve always liked how colorful and alive the ocean looks because of these amazing animals. Coral reefs are so beautiful so I hope that scientist come up with a way to restore them.

Dear Sayra,

I am surprised with your post, “Climate Change is Affecting Coral Reefs” because I didn’t know that they were being affected by the climate and how badly it was being affected. Also, I’m surprised that the corals have some effects on the climate.
One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is: “Scientists have said that the cause of all this is because ocean temperatures are becoming warmer.” I think this is shocking because I didn’t know that the temperature of the water played an important role in this crisis.

Thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next because you write about important topics that we should all be informed about.

Dear Sayra:

I am surprised about your post ” Climate Change is Affecting Coral Reefs” because I didn’t know that they are affected by the climate and how much can be affected. Also, I’m surprised that the corals have some effects on the climate.

One sentence you wrote that stands out to me is “. It is sad to say that many coral reefs are dying at an alarming rate.” I think this is sad because these types of corals help us to protect the coastline and also the storms. They are helping with everything down on the ocean.

Thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next because I think that you are sharing some interesting things and also that can help everyone knows more about what is happening in the world and also the ocean.

Climate change is a really interesting and prevalent topic in today’s society. I think you could have gotten the point of the article more across if you didn’t say “I learned,” as it makes it seem like more of an opinion piece rather than informative.
