Education plays a very important role in our world today, and is valued by parents, politicians, students, and educators. Charter schools, unlike other public schools, provide a wide ranging curriculum that allows for greater educational opportunities. Without the help of the community and the state, charter schools would not be able to thrive. Charter schools produce many important benefits, such as additional educational options for students, increased educational innovation, greater student achievement, and a healthy competitive pressure for the students and staff. Overall, charter school attendance leads to greater achievement in students. I have been going to a charter school since kindergarten. Because of the benefits charter schools provide, I have been able to succeed and become a better student. I have also been able to attend classes that cater to my interests. Not only do I have all my graduation requirements as a junior, but I was also able to take college level courses to help prepare me for the real deal. I strongly believe that charter schools provide more opportunities for the enrolled students than other public schools are able to provide.

Hi, my name is Riley and I go to a private catholic high school in Utah. I totally agree with you on this topic. with some similarities, I can firmly say that things need to be changed when it comes to education. This will be fixed. Have you thought about contacting the mayor or governor in your area about this and how they can possibly help?

Great article. I’m glad that you feel as though attending a charter school had greater prepared you for the real world. Since I have friends who have attended charter schools and have opposing opinions than you I think the level of success on the student is relevant to how you need to learn. Overall great article and it’s nice to see the point of view from one side, I would like to see the opposing point of view to add more of a variety and less biased next time.

This article was very nice! but you made it seem like charter school is better then public schools i mean you could have your own opinion but others have their’s. You said it helped you become a better student that’s good you could go to any school of your choice either charter school or public schools as long as you get your work done.

Dear Charter School:
I am disbelief with your short stor>, “Charter Schools,” because A charter school is learned by the community. The society that lives with the students and sees what the students face in order to succeed. This society knows what we call to suffer and for in the world they let their children suffer as they did in the past.
One set of lines that stands out for me are, “line 4 to line 6” I think these lines are the prove why charter school shole be more than the other school. Charter school is can be compared to a hard puzzle because students have to figure out all the track of success and also figure out the possible way to avoid them in their lives.
Another set of lines that stands out for me is, “8 – 11” I think these lines are shown why it is important to go charter school. The most interesting
The part is that charter schools to prepare for the future next step. These next steps are the step where the student has to use all the things that they learned since they were born. The second important is that they have to take these steps by themselves.
Your story reminds me of my country where privates schools are better than public schools. Private schools give students better teachers and also pay them very well to make them proud in what they are doing. Sometimes they do some competition between students. The student of the student who wins the competition gets a big price. A story that I once was Everyday use by Alice Walter. I did rewrite it because it was a family of 3 people: The mother, and her two daughters. One of her daughters was felling lonely despair.
Thanks for your story. I look forward to seeing what you make next. When I was reading your story for a moment I thought this person one of my favorite book writers. Then when showing your school name I remember that you were him.

Dear Mia,
You’re article was very interesting and unique. I agree that charter school provide something more than an education by looking into the arts and being able ot take college level courses. But I disagree that it’s better than public schools because there are also private schools that provide just as good an education along with a public school, it just depends on what school you go and your preference. I agree that your charter school should be considered a private school because just like my school, it’s a college prepatory school. Here is an article that may help your case: https://www.brighthubeducation.com/education-industry/128393-the-good-and-bad-of-charter-schools/

Sincerely,
Aria

My name is Peter Larrabee, and I got to Judge Memorial Catholic High School. I really enjoy the points that are brought up supporting Charter Schools. They are, in a lot of ways, superior to that of a public school. There were also good points brought up about how they provide a higher level of education, and how you are able to take college level classes.

One point I would have brought up would be that of other forms of higher education. Other than Charter Schools, there are a multitude of other schools which also provide higher education, such as Catholic Schools, or Private Schools. Both tend to support education that is above that one would receive via the public school system. Overall, the article was very well done, it just could have displayed a few other perspectives.

Hi Mia! I agree with you wholeheartedly on this. I have never gone to charter school, but been in private school my whole life. It was touching when you said “Because of the benefits charter schools provide, I have been able to succeed and become a better student”. This shows that you are making the most out of you education. Thanks for writing this, and I hope to read more from you!

I didn’t know that charter schools were public schools. I would love more information on why charter schools do not receive as much funding. I am also curious about why not all schools would be structured like charter schools if the level of education is so much better. Personally, I go to a private school which my parents pay for. My school does not receive public funding, but still performs well. Public funding is not a necessity, but funds must come from somewhere. Is there anywhere else charter schools get money from?
I would love to see more research of yours considering concrete evidence.

Hello Mia! It is wonderful to hear that you’ve enjoyed and capitalized on the opportunities that carter school has provided you. While this is an amazing experience for you, there is overwhelming information that points in the opposite direction. An article in the Washington post highlighted a few of these issues (https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/answer-sheet/wp/2014/05/20/a-dozen-problems-with-charter-schools/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.98ee4f8f5033). While a wide majority of charter schools fair to perform at their intended standard, I am glad you are in attendance of one that does. I would recommend looking for more sources in your argument and trying to get a broader sense of the subject rather than leaning heavily on personal experience and opinion. Best of luck moving forward!

The Charter school system has harmed availability to education and also the lack of government oversight in charter schools has lead to inconstancy in educations provided. While one can appreciate them as part of said school they represent a problem in the American educational system. Also since your a member of one of those schools you should look for unbiased info on charter schools.
