A protester holding a sign that says DREAMERS ARE AMERICAN.

Celeste, a Mexican immigrant, came to Georgia with her family when she was four years old. Now in high school, Celeste wants to graduate with honors and become an immigration lawyer. She is applying for DACA, a program that allows young people to get their citizenship. Paul Bridges, a close family friend, teaches Celeste how to drive a car. Celeste represents teenage Dreamers, an important part of our country.

Isiah, you’re summary was excellent. You did a great job finding the key ideas of the video. It was very concise and relevant, and all the points you put across in the summary were also relevant to the video. I thought the line “Celeste represents teenage Dreamers, an important part of our country. ” was awesome, It represents very well the idea of the video. As another immigrant trying to get their license, I can relate to her story, I think you could be interested in “A tale of two immigrants” which is a story of two teenage girls who immigrated. Here is the link https://voxatl.org/tale-two-immigrants-video/. Thank you for your writing and I look forward to reading more from you because I think you picked really interesting topics.

Isiah, awesome summary of this video. The story was very inspiring and informational to here. This story is so inspirational to push through whatever circumstances or cards you’ve been dealt. Great job!

Isiah, this is a very well done summary of this video. Her story is amazing, and there are many more like it. My favorite line of your writing is, “Celeste represents teenage dreamers.” People all over should be able to see this story and use it as motivation to know that it is not over, and there still is hope for them, no matter how unlikely it may be. There are 1000’s of other people with stories just like Celeste. One I think you should look into is the story of Jimmy Butler. He was homeless at a young age and through his hard work he eventually made it to the NBA. I am glad and thank you for writing this because people are now aware of this story because of this and I hope to hear more from you in the future.

Isiah, you did a very great job concisely summarizing the short film. Celeste’s story is beautiful, and I admire her ambitions. Stories like hers are important and need to be told. Thank you for writing this and helping others to find this short film and learn of Celeste and teenage dreamers.

Interesting comment Isiah. The last line really stuck with me when you said “Celeste represents teenage dreamers, an important part of our country.” I liked it because it is important for minorities especially to know that their dreams are valid and wanted in this country.
