In the article, “Cars That Stop Drunking Driving” (McGraw Hills) I learned that during Biden’s infrastructure there was a demand for U.S. automakers to find a way to stop drunk people from driving. Because of this idea there has been a debate if this is the best solution. Many say it is because it would decrease deaths, protect the lives of first responders, reduces traffic delays, and help with insurance. Others say it’s not because it would take years for it to start having an impact and it would just be eliminated by Congress.

I think it’s important to understand why Biden choose to have this be part of his infrastructure package. After reading why some people thought it would be a bad idea it changed my thoughts about it. I think there’s a better way to stop drunk people from touching the wheel.

What are your thoughts, do you agree or disagree with the idea?
