I choose to read Othello Act 5, Scene 2, Line 390 to Line 400. The character I played is Othello. Shakespeare’s work is generally hard to understand and hard to read since the language he used is way very different from modern English. So it is interesting to record my own voice reading Shakespeare’s play and listening to it. I learned that tone, pacing and emotion are really important while reading a play since that will show how effective I reflect the character and deliver the character’s message. This scene is at the end of Othello after Othello comprehending everything – how he was tricked by Iago but after the realization, he is full of regret. However, he is still maintaining his dignity as a man. So, when I am reading it, I should show more of  frank and deep remorse.
