For this assignment, we were forced to create an infomercial website describing BSGE. Our lord and teacher, Shantanu Saha, had given us certain requirements and constraints to do along the way. We were assigned 2 and a half weeks for this project in total, (5 webpages including the homepage).

  1. The website must have a homepage and at least four other pages.
  2. The website must contain a sample schedule, including period times.
  3. The website must contain a navigation bar on all pages.
  4. The home page must contain a review of the school and general information.
  5. The website must contain information about the school’s teachers.
  6. The website must have pictures of the school.
  7. The website must have information about student achievement.
  8. The website must have information about the school’s academic policies, including grading.
  9. The website must have information about the IB Diploma Program.
  10. The website must have information about extracurricular activities, including how to create a club.
  11. The website must have information about community service activities and requirements.
  12. The website must have information about the student environment and social activities.

So within my project, Shantanu had forced us to be organized so we can finish our work in a faster pace;

  1. Research on what to do about your project, find information that you didn’t know. (1 day)
  2. Begin to write about the subject. (1 day)
  3. Begin to design the layout of  all of your pages. (2)
  4. Begin to design the look of all of your pages. (2)
  5. Add links to your pages linking to other websites on the subject (½ day)
  6. Add pictures and drawings to your pages relating to the subject. (½ day)
  7. Add written content to your page (1 day)
  8. Fix any errors with your site (in class, and at home)

Project Plans, something half my class never followed except for me, which actually helped me manage my work. By looking at our project plan, I was able to devise a way to get my work done and in a timely manner. If I didn’t finish something in time, change it in my developers log.

body {
            font-family: Helvetica, Sans-Serif;
            background-color: #FF00FF;
            width: 100%
        div.container {
            width: 100%;
            border: 1px solid red;
            text-align: left;

        header, footer {
            padding: .5em;
            color: black;
            background-color: #8B0000;
            clear: left;
            text-align: center;
            margin: auto;
            width: auto;

        nav {
            clear: left;
            margin: 0;
            padding: .5em;
            text-align: center;

        nav ul {
            list-style-type: none;
            padding: 0;
        nav ul li {
            border: 1px solid green;

        nav ul a {
            text-decoration: none;
        nav ul a:link, nav ul a:visited {
        nav ul a:hover {
            font-weight: bold;

        article {
            border: 5px solid black;
            overflow: hidden;
            margin: auto;
And by using Project Plans, I was able to create and change code much quicker (here's my stylesheet).

My project isn’t the best, but I tried hard for savior Shantanu!
