The title of your piece stood out to me, and as I continued reading I was able to understand why. I can appreciate the nuance of your arguments, as well as the reiterations of respect and care for everyone. I agree, that there needs to be better systems put in place to officially abolish racism.

When I read the title I automatically click on your post, because I was confused. After reading your story I have so much respect for you. Your entitled to your opinion and agree with you some bases. I love how you repeat yourself that “nobody should be gun down from their violence or police brutality.”

The title of this post caught me by surprise and it got my curiosity going. Your writing really brings out your belief and the positive message you are trying to put forward. Although, it may be off putting to some people, you still had the courage to write it and that’s what authors do.

What caught my attention about this post was the title because it made me want to read further into what the story was going to consist of. I think it is great that you have a stance that differs from the other writings, and that is concluded based upon your own individual opinions. I also like how you are respectfully just writing about your own thoughts to share with the public, but you aren’t necessarily trying to persuade others to believe what you believe.

Hi Samani! I really love how you formulated your title to be such a perfect hook. I also love how when writing in this character’s POV, you still write something inspiring. I wonder, do you think that people would be upset about this article despite its positive message?

You have a nice idea and message going on equality and social justice. However your execution is a little off putting and could harm some readers that would agree with your piece otherwise. Otherwise very good opinion piece

This was an interesting piece, unlike other posts I have seen the image wasn’t what drew me into commenting. What made this piece so interesting was the title and the interesting opinions I read. I don’t exactly agree with everything in this piece but I do think you give a strong message.

In my opinion, the title strengthens your content in addition to being visually appealing. I applaud your audacity and think it’s excellent how you were able to relate the peril of stereotypes in your essay.Although I believe there is some inaccurate information regarding BLM, I think your message is really intriguing, powerful, and positive.

Samani, I believe your title isn’t only eye catching but it makes your writing stronger. I salute your boldness and find your ability to connect to the danger of stereotypes into your writing is great work. I wonder what made you write from this perspective?

The title being a daring statement and including the words mock trial made me want to read this post. Your views of acknowledging the danger of stereotypes that depict Black people as harmful are important and I agree with them. I’m somewhat confused on why you chose to start the piece off with “all lives matter”. From the reading it seems you hold the same ideas of the Black lives matter movement. What is your position on the difference between equity and equality?

The title was very interesting. While I do think there is some misguided information about BLM, I think you have a very interesting positive and impactful message.

Hi Samani, what stuck out to me was your title because of how much discussion is on the I agree that all lives matter as well. The phrase “Black Live Matter” holds the meaning that all lives cannot matter unless Black lives matter. Black lives are human lives. We are all human, so all of our lives should matter. I agree with the fact that we should all coexist in peace, that is why we must acknowledge the purpose of the movements that fight for that same purpose such as BLM. What do you believe are the next steps to reach that goal of a peaceful coexistence?

Your title was very intruiging and the essay that followed did not disappoint. I really enjoyed this essay. What made you go with that topic?

The writing effectively highlights the writer’s belief in the value of all lives and the need for fair treatment regardless of race. It addresses the issue of police brutality and acknowledges the unjust treatment of people of color. The inclusion of personal reflections, such as feeling sympathy for Starr’s friend but still justifying police actions, adds depth to the argument and demonstrates the complexity of the issue.  Furthermore, the call for international cooperation and legislation to protect individuals from discrimination and violence based on race is commendable. Overall, the piece effectively conveys the importance of addressing systemic issues of racism and advocating for equality and justice for all. Overall a good job with your writing piece it was very powerful and a very interesting perspective.

Your conclusion is powerful and I agree with your views on police brutality and the disparities marginalized communities face. One suggestion I have is to refine your writing by shortening your sentences and double-checking your grammar. By doing this, your writing will become more clear! What drew me to this article was your title and cover photo. The title is sticking and the photo is very realistic despite it being AI-generated.

this was a very interesting viewpoint to read and I would love to delve deeper into. However, i think there are better way that you could have gone about this statement/the way you presented your views.but I do agree that the fight for racial equality and fairness is very important

I was drawn to your piece because of your passionate stance on the importance of valuing all lives equally and your condemnation of police brutality based on skin color. Your empathy towards Starr’s friend who was shot, combined with your recognition of the systemic issues at play, reflects a deep understanding of the complexities surrounding racial injustice. Your call for international cooperation to pass laws protecting individuals from discrimination is particularly powerful. One question I have is: How do you think we can effectively challenge and dismantle the deeply ingrained biases within law enforcement and society as a whole?
