In the book “Abortion” by (Bailey 2011) I learned that there is an ongoing argument on the topic of Abortion. Abortion is when a pregnancy is ended, sometimes called termination of pregnancy. There are people who believe it should be illegal for women to go through with an Abortion and there are those who disagree. Some disagree because it is the woman’s body and ultimately her decision. There are some hostile occasions where the pregnancy could be forced meaning rape at a young age and so abortions often are considered. There are other occasions that just happen where the mother isn’t stable financially enough to bring a baby into this world. Whatever the occasion is Women have looked at abortions when they can’t have a baby. Many states have made Abortion Illegal because of the disagreement about “killing” a baby. Their argument holds the idea that they are committing murder.
I think that Abortions should be an option in every state. The restriction against abortion shouldn’t be held on women. It’s difficult to be put in that situation but It’s not no one’s position to judge or control it. Although I understand the opposing side with abortion needing to be illegal, I don’t think they are right to restrict women’s rights.
As I continue to research Abortion, I want to know more opinions on why Abortion should be legal. I would also like to learn from Women who experienced abortion themeselves.
