I chose the play Othello, Act 3, Scene 4, Lines 150-165. The character I played was Desdemona. I learned that a variety of tone is important to make the text more human. I need to put in a diverse set of volume and pace myself to describe within my voice what it is that the character is feeling. To feel what she is feeling is to be slightly betrayed by accusations that are not true. Its to be strong and hold back from a quivering voice. Its to know what you stand on but to trip on a rock that turned into an obstacle. Its the small spark of insecurity because something is attempting to pull you apart from the one you love but you have no idea what to do.
