In this article, “A better path forward for criminal justice: police reform” (April 2021) I learned that there are multiple ways for police to be reformed. This citation was caused because of the horrible incidents of people dying due to police brutality. Some examples given are George Floyd, Daunte Wright, Elijah McClain, Breonna Taylor, and William Green. This has caused the authors Rashwan Ray and Clark Nelly to research ways in order to reform the police system in America.
I think that the police system and the citizens should all be changed in their interactions. Think that what this article did, making multiple options for change, was amazing because although people might not agree in all options there are still some that could agree on one. This helps me with my research questions because I was wondering what people can do to change the police system.
What I am still wondering while researching police reform is what can people do to change how they act toward police.
