In the article, “6 Things To Know About The Atomic Bomb” I learned that the people of Japan have to struggle withThe radiation from the nukes.  This horrible situation has been caused by the fact that,, the U.S was still in WW2 and they wanted to test out nuclear weapons.  It has also been caused by countries, such as Germany, beginning after Albert Einstein gave them a letter saying they started before them.  Some examples to illustrate their situation is the U.S gave 2 billion in compensation because they didn’t expect radiation damage to be a danger.

I think what is happening in Japan is a huge crisis.  It must be horrible to feel there is no hope to get out of the city with radiation.  It’s hard to imagine having electricity only a few hours a day, or not having running water and having radiation in the water.  The photograph of the sick newborns is so sad–the hospital looks to be in terrible condition because the bomb destroyed half of the building.  Here in the U.S., we are so lucky to have so many luxuries and conveniences.

Victor,
Before reading your post I figured radiation had still been affecting the lives of so many but never confirmed it. The title captured my eye because you hardly hear anything about the atomic weapon anymore, typically it’s nuclear. Sometimes it’s hard for me to be appreciative of what I have. Do you think the decision of bombing Japan brought the war to a quicker and less vital stop? Was it the wrong decision because the US didn’t know the effects?
Thank you for writing!

Dear Victor, I agree with your post about the topic of a huge crisis occurring in Japan. Radiation has affected Japanese people’s lives drastically. We are able to see that with the evidence you provided of not having clean water, and many children being born sick due to the radiation. Their conditions are harsh to live a long healthy life, as compared to the US. It shows the great damage these Atomic bombs caused.

Dear : Victor
I am happy with your post “6 Things To Know About The Atomic Bomb” because you are explaining what happened in japan and what caused the atomic bomb and i like that you are given this information so like that people can know what’s happened around the world .
One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is: “ It must be horrible to feel there is no hope to get out of the city with radiation. I think this is sad because it is true people can’t live with radiation because of its dangers and their lives are in danger .
Thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next, because i like what you wrote because you explain what is happening in japan and i didnt know that and now i know thanks to your writing.
Sincerely,
Joselyn orozco
