Zoos bring us closer to wildlife in ways you could not imagine. It is also a good place for schools to go learn and interact with the animals. As pretty and fun zoos look they have a dark side to them. Many of these animals are living in worse conditions compared to where there natural habitat would be. There are many flaws to the zoo system and I believe we should ban them.
As I stated before, research has been done that animals who live in zoos are more likely to suffer form illness and injury and they have shorter lifespans. Even for the animals that the zoos say they are protecting because that species is on the brink of extinction, those animals are still in danger in the zoos because they suffer from anxiety, boredom and other severe mental issues. The other animals are captured innocently and separated from there families and there habitat to benefit the zoo. This only benefits the zoos because they will promote the animals they got which will bring in more money for them while not considering the health of the animal. You could also blame zookeepers for there brutality towards some if these animals.
In conclusion zoos are just not a safe place for the majority of the species. They deserve to be free instead of being locked in such small space.Tags: Judge Memorial Catholic High School
