I am from mango trees

From ant bites and gold jewelry

I am from the central american floods

annoying booming laughter and giving lack of attention

I am from hot 90 degree weather

To beaming suns and humid rains

Im from bathing babies in cologne and spanish speaking

From Yessenia Rodriguez and Kyara alvarado

From yelling and irritation

im from the saying passed down from the older generation

and passed on stories

From christianity and monotheism

Im from Tracey Ca, Nicaragua and Brazil, beans and rice

From my 104 year old great grandmother

from  uncle that died from cancer

By Lunara Vasconcelos

In this assignment we were asked to write a pom about what we are about and everything around us. For my poem I wrote about what  i like where i come from and my family. When other people read this poem i hope that they give positive feedback so i can make my poem better
