I found myself on the sideline
Of my first high school football
game. I was fourteen and I thought
I wasn’t nervous, but when I felt the
sweat dripping down my head, and my
legs start to tremble, I knew I wasn’t
as ready as I thought I was. My heart
pulsing, skipping every other beat as I
stepped on the field for the first kickoff.
Thud, I hear the opening kick soar through
the air. I was fourteen and I ran back to my
spot to make my block. As a player ran towards
me I went to hit him, right as I did all of my
nerves left my body and I instantly felt like a
Man, ready for battle. Definitely not fourteen.

I really like the message about football and not being scared. I also remember paying my first high school varsity game.
