Debbie Sterling the founder of Goldieblox is trying to get girls to learn engineering so she sells toys to girls for that purpose. She makes various kinds of engineering toys for girls such as spinning machines and ziplines. She gave engineering a try during her freshman year at Stanford then majored in the subject. Sterling created Goldieblox so that the girls in the world don’t go to the pink aisle and they learn how to engineer. The pink aisle is an aisle made just for girls but girls don’t like that because it is a stereotype for all girls.

Debbie Sterling is the founder and CEO of Goldieblox. According to her website 86% of engineers are boys while 14% are girls. Sterling created Goldieblox to get girls to get confidence in themselves through engineering. She wants to try to get more girls to become engineers when they grow up. She was nicknamed “Person of the Moment,” by TIME magazine. She was honored by the National Retail Foundation. She was added to the Fortune magazine’s “40 under 40” list. Sterling believes that men and women should have equal rights.
