I chose King Lear and I chose act 1 scene 2 lines 1 through 15, I chose these because King Lear is one of my favorite Shakespeare plays and I just really enjoy the entire story line of the play.  I played Edmund and I read a short monologue that Edmund thinks up alone in the beginning of a new scene.  Throughout this short little act I learned a lot about how hard it is to truly give a meaningful performance as an actor in a play like this.  This short little collection of lines gives a really good insight into the character of Edmund and how he feels about the rather bad lot that he has been cast into for this life.
