Love starts war
Two lovers
Star crossed lovers
They’re love begins in Oakland
They know nothing about each other
Two pairs of eyes meet
And they’re connected in a second
They know they’re in love like that
Yet they couldn’t be together
Because of their families
Hurt and gunshots goes off in the night
Yes, the two lovers were a part of gangs
The gangs that didn’t get along
They were two gangs with a history
Not such a great history either
They gangs weren’t friends or companions
Everyone knows about these gangs
You couldn’t walk the streets without knowing
They always wanted to fight
It could be a physical fight or even a fight with words
They just didn’t and couldn’t get along
Gun shots in the streets of Oakland
Because of these gangs
There was a lot of disaster
That lead to war
A even deeper war between the gangs than before
That left a corpse
A death with more to come here in the streets of Oakland
No one can help these gangs problems
This war is hurting everyone
Which started because of Love

This is relates to Romeo and Juliet because they are star cross lovers. They both fell in love at first sight. They both got separated by violence. They also been separated by their family. This relates to my life because i live in oakland . There is a lot of violence in Oakland. There is a lot of violence that happens because of love. Also there is a lot of people that get killed and separated from the person they love. Living in oakland i´ve seen many people get killed. i’ve also seen people lose their loved ones to violence.

    Hey Francisco,
This is just a great poem. This really does describe the relationship that they have. And although your poem explains love, it really explains the difficult things that come a part with love. You really summarized the book very well. Thanks for writing this poem. Looking forward to read more of your work.
