A very powerful word.
A word that can compel people to do stupid things.
There was a poster hung up on the wall with different 4 letter words. The bright red poster was right near my desk. I had the honor of sitting next to the blood red poster with fingerprint and glue stains all over it. I did not love that poster, but I did love memorizing the spelling of words. The first word I learned how to spell was “Love.”
I liked the meaning.
Every day I would say “I love you mom, dad, cat.” I would spell out “L-O-V-E, look mom I can spell love.”
It could have been how your tongue tapped the top of your teeth forming the “LUH” sound and how they ended up between your lips finishing out with the “-VE” sound; but I think it was because it made people happy. When I was younger I never saw anyone frown while saying they “love” someone.
Making someone happy saying the world “love” made me happy, so I said it to anyone that I saw that was having a bad day.
“I love your shoes, hat, jacket.” When I was younger I used to say it at least a hundred times a day.
The word “Love” stayed with me from kindergarten to present day, to being the first word I was able to spell to making people happy.
I love the word love.
