“Jim was most ruined for a servant, because he got stuck up on account of having seen the devil and been rode by witches.”

(pg 7)

I thought that this was quite interesting in terms of the psychology of slavery, servanthood and mastery because Huck is saying here that because Jim now feels good about himself , he can no longer be a good servant. Which I suppose makes sense, because when someone feels good about themself then they would be less likely to allow himself to be degraded by whomever they are working for. I just thought that it was really brilliant of Twain to include that.
