Long light brown hair,

and big dark brown eyes,

with a huge smile to match.

I was seventeen. Carefree

and as happy as I could be.

I was seventeen. I

stand there looking deep

into his intriguing brown eyes,

and watch as his smile slowly

fades away into a blank stare.

I was seventeen. Watching

as all the memories we had,

quickly faded away into nothing.

I was seventeen. I hear him whisper

to me, “I am sorry” and “goodbye.” I watch

as he slowly turns and walks away

from me. Standing there hopeless

and heartbroken, at seventeen.
