I had only ever been kissed by the rain/ so gently as it may. I spent all of these soft wasted warm nights wishing I ought to be the moon/ maybe then I could be your light in the dark. Maybe I just wanted to feel your soft gentle lips. Or perhaps you were the stars in my empty night sky. I wouldn’t know.
