Constantly surrounded

Their loud, mean, oblivious personalities.

All I want is to be serious for once

Drop the act for a little and talk about what really matters

What really matters.

The dry riverbed that once surged with people’s hopes and dreams

The dog with a limp that everyone dismisses

The hurricane that’s building within each of us as time moves on

The elephant in the room.

You’ll understand wont you

You’ll speak with me about what really matters

You’ve been here longer then me

Seen more

Heard more

And now you say I haven’t lived enough

I don’t know how things work

I don’t know big fancy words.

So I’ll stand in the corner

Cross my arms in rebellion

And think of all the things I hate about you.
