After reading the article “Dear White people your safety pins are embarrassing” posted on the huffpost, I realized​ there are alot of things we still need to address in this modern time. Why are we still putting shame to other groups of people in our country? The initial idea wasn’t bad until you think about how it just screams out ” hey, your gay, black , Muslim, etc but we want you to feel equal by giving you a pin to say you are the same as us”. Do you see what’s wrong with that? Overall I feel we need to stop having that type of mentality and just eliminate prejudice, intentional or not.
