I am from a place I can’t call home

Waking up in the morning

To another day of hate

In myself and my surroundings

Motivation wasted away

Like the people in my family

Mommy high as a kite

Daddy yelling and drinking

My fellow brother and sisters

Always in a fight

Our minds were innocent

Wanting just to live life

But it was taken away

From those around us

Watching those we love in pain

Suffering like a cut vain

They said “you’re too young to understand”

But all this time you were the one clueless

You said you loved us

But only did harm to us

We saw things you did

That cannot be erased

Now were all separated

I’m across the country

Just desperate

To when i’ll see you again

In pain from life

It’s totally different, like a whole new world

From loud to quiet

All my thoughts are with me

Emotions are all flowing out

I’m stuck in life

Do I chose left or right?
