I’ve always accepted the fact that milk is a healthy drink. I drink milk every day. It tastes good and I’ve never thought twice about it. Turns out that milk could be bad for you. According to ProCon, some researchers claim that drinking milk can can “contribute to obesity, calcium deficiency, allergies, heart disease, and cancer” while others believe it leads to “weight loss, strengthening bones, improved cardiovascular and oral health, and cancer prevention.” Vivian Goldschmidt from saveourbones.com explaines why milk is so terrible. She says that that milk acidified the body and to balance the acidification calcium is “leached” out of the bones to bring the body’s pH back to normal. That being said, milk is an excellent source of the essential nutrients calcium, potassium, and vitamin D. It leaves us wondering: is “got milk?” truly healthy?
