Contagious yawning is a phenomenon that only happens in humans and as a response to hearing, seeing, or even thinking about yawning. Previous studies have suggested that there is a connection between contagious yawning and empathy. Empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of another. Studies are still being done because there is still no definite answer.
