The FDA has yet to label marijuana as a safe medicine, despite the organization’s outward support for research of the drug, due to the unknown risks and side-effects of the drug. However, research about marijuana and the medicinal purposes it may have is against federal law, despite it being legal in eighteen states. According to the Controlled Substances Act of 1970, Marijuana is in the category with the most restrictive use. In order to use it in clinical research, one must have a DEA license and the study must be approved by the FDA.

I agree with this. Marijuana is safe for people who are sick and I we do take time and study it we can make the world a better place. For you know the sick.

Good job. I agree that marijuana should be held at a different level than other substances such as cocaine or heroin. This drug has actual medical benefits, and when used in a medicinal setting can be very helpful for treating pain. In this article by business insider (http://www.businessinsider.com/health-benefits-of-medical-marijuana-2014-4) it discusses twenty three health benefits which marijuana can help to treat health complications.

I agree. I think that marijuana can help those suffering (cancer patients, those who suffer from epilepsy) and if we took a little time to further study the risks and side-effects we would see that it might do more good than bad, if we let it.
